Anubis, the son of the Egyptian deities Osiris and Nephthys is portrayed here in his jackal form. Anubis first attained renown after conducting the first embalming in history on his father Osiris whom was dismembered by his brother, Set. This granted Osiris immortality and both father and son ruled over different aspects of the underworld. This statue is made of cold cast resin and hand painted. Measures 5 1/2" in length.
